Destination Infographic Video

A destination featurette video is based on four countries in the Balkan group. The video focuses on showcasing each destination through engaging visuals and motion graphics, highlighting the connection to each country. The video shows scenery that encourages viewers to explore more and travel there.

Project Background

This project is about creating a short infographic video of a destination. I chose to focus on four countries that are connected as part of the Balkan region in Europe. I was able to showcase each destination through engaging visuals and motion graphics while highlighting the connection between each country. I also focused on providing a fast but smooth consistency when presenting each destination. A challenge in this project was adjusting the timing to ensure the text stayed on screen long enough while still meeting the required video length.

How it came together

Planning

I began the planning process by selecting four countries in the Balkan region that I wanted to showcase, focusing on key locations, culture, and travel highlights. I gathered information and visuals that best represent each destination and organized the content into clear sections. From there, I planned the structure of the video, making sure each country would be presented in a consistent and easy-to-follow way.

The Journey

During the project, I focused on designing the visuals and developing the animation in After Effects. I created graphics and layouts for each country, ensuring consistency in colour, typography, and layout throughout the video. I found it challenging to balance the text with the timing of the animations, so I adjusted the pacing to make sure the text was readable while maintaining a smooth flow between scenes.

The final video presents a destination infographic that highlights four Balkan countries through motion graphics and visuals. The design uses a consistent layout and clear structure to present information in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
